Ex-NBA Player Lorenzen Wright Found Dead

Lorenzen Wright has been found dead near Memphis, the ex-NBA player's uncle, Curtis Wright, said.

Wright, 34, disappeared on July 19, and over the last several days his family has appealed for him to surface, filing a missing person report with police on July 22.

Wright's sister, Adriane Harris, told The Memphis Commercial Appeal that Wright had been out of touch before, but "not to this extent."

CBS affiliate WREG in Memphis reported that Wright was having financial problems. His home in Atlanta was foreclosed, WREG said.

Prior to the body turning up in a wooded area close to where Wright was last seen, the police said they didn't suspect foul play.

The 6'11" Wright played in the NBA for more than a decade for five different teams.

Nintendo Reveal 3DS

News Released - Nintendo will announce details of a new product on Sept. 29, it said Thursday. The tight-lipped company wouldn't provide any more details, but with its 3DS handheld due to be launched in the coming months the chances are high it will be detailing launch and price details for the highly-anticipated product.

The 3DS area of the event was centred around a long rectangular counter, with perhaps eight or ten consoles on each side. Each unit was propped in front of an incredibly attractive Nintendo rep, each demonstrating a different game or technology. The list that follows details each of those demonstrations, and what it'll offer the future of handheld gaming.

Metal Gear sounds very promising indeed, and it sounds like making stuff in 3D is pretty easy to do well. It's remarkable that this one device has turned around so many people's opinion on 3D. All it takes is taking down enough barriers that people have no reason not to try it. Nintendo posted a loss this quarter for probably the first time since 2004, and It can only be because of the amount they've spent on 3DS' R&D. It will most definitely pay off.

It was good to see some unknown titles being shown as well. I'm sure Nintendo will be pushing 3rd party a lot on this device, and if it's easy to use then the catalogue will be huge pretty quickly.

Since E3, we've heard rumors the 3DS could sell for as much as $250 and even £200 in the UK, but The Official Nintendo Magazine reports that figure could actually be high. Nintendo UK's marketing manager James Honeywell apparently told ONM that while the company hasn't made any formal price announcements, "the Nintendo DSi is available for around £129.99 [and] the Nintendo DSi XL, with the larger screens, is around £159.99."
